
The (partial) removal, Infibulation, pricking, piercing, or scraping of female external sex organs is an internationally recognized form of child abuse and human rights violation emphasized under target 5.3 of the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Established in 2024, The Midnimo Education Project is dedicated to protecting the rights of the youth and public of the United States by providing educational outreach and health resources to mitigate the occurrence and effects of Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C). Centered in the Bay Area, our 501c3 organization is Presidential Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) certified and has earned our founders the State Seal of Civic Engagement.

A violinist with interests in healthcare accountability, Samyuktha works both on the technical side of biomedical research and on social justice. Her volunteerism in the medical field has been supplemented through her tenure as a founding member of the Neurodiversity and Psychiatry Association, and her National Service Honor recognition.

Alina is a student advocate involved in local government, national policy advocacy, and community organizing. She has worked on issues ranging from civic engagement and youth outreach to violence against women and public health. She is interested in using public policy and grassroots organizing to support our vulnerable communities.

An alumnae of the Sewanee Young Writer's Conference and an Executive Editor at Polyphony Lit, Paley develops and publishes literary works, encouraging aspiring writers to find their voices. They hope The Midnimo Education Project can utilize storytelling as a way to support survivors, amplify awareness, and empower local communities.
